A VERY pregnant Maggie gives a 13 week old, "Georgie," the look we affectionately call the "Hairy Eyeball."
Manchesters with their keen intelligence are very good at communicating their needs, wants, and desires. In this case, the
message is loud and clear, "Leave me alone, little dog."

We sometimes call this photo, "Ear Cropping the Hard Way!" It's a great photo of Pilot (CH Rosewood Kamikaze Pilot),
Lily, and Harry (CH Rosewood Rustic Luck E-Bet) playing on the porch at our former home in Hemet, CA. Just a note, those are
adult, intact males playing peacefully together.

My late father, Ted Keiper, used to say, "It's a poor job that can't support at least one boss!" Toolie, Ch Rustic
Petite Fleur of Shal-Mar, takes that to heart as she supervises David's Brother, Jamie, and sister-in-law, Lisa, giving their
daughter, Anna, a bath. Toolie was in season at the time, hence the "girl panties."

Lily (Rustic Lane Peace Lily) and our old rescue dog, Boomer, were demonstrating the fine art of lounging. Manchesters love
the couch particularly if their people are on it as well. If not, they find all kinds of interesting ways to get comfy.
Lily was a "conehead" for about a week after she ws spayed.

Smokey and Harry.... "Are you looking at me?" Smokey is a 20lb male -- Harry about 11. This photo is a great demonstration
of the difference between "Toy" and "Standard" size.

This is our good friend, Peter Rank, working with CH Rosewood Good Golly Ms Molly at her first puppy match in Duarte, California
in 2003. Molly's son, CH Rosewood Man of Steel, aka "Clark," went on to win Best of Variety at that 2005 AMTC National
specialty in Pocono Manor, PA.

Smokey, again, demonstrating the 3 acceptable ear styles for a Standard. Obviously this was done with some Photoshop magic.
This illustration of correct ears for the breed has been used in Judges Education materials for the breed.

The first litter of pups born at our new home in Florida, by CH Burmack's Starbuck ("Jason") x CH Rustic Petite
Petite Fleur of Shal-Mar ("Toolie") included 3 gorgeous males and a beautiful female. Here, Toolie plays with two
of the boys, "Rusty" and "Georgie."

CH Golden Scoops Sparkle Plenty, HOF, ROM, taken on her 17th birthday. Sparkle is the foundation bitch of the famed, "Rosewood"
bloodline. It was our privilege to know Sparkle and so many of her progeny. Sparkle was bred by Ellie Pulleo, owned by our
friend and mentor, Betty Hodges.

Our foundation bitch, "Percy," CH Caro's Pretty Percy, ROM, in labor with her second litter. That's "Yellow
Duck 3.0" in bed with her as she waits for a contraction. Percy delivered 5 gorgeous puppies that night including, Maggie,
CH Rustic Lane Sugar Magnolia and Casey, CH Rustic Lane Casey Jones. Maggie and Casey were BOS and WD respectively at the
2005 AMTC National Specialty. We're on "Yellow Duck 6.0/7.0" now, 3 1/2 years later. We have 2 so Percy is not
"duckless" when her favorite toy needs to be washed.

With rich mahogany tan, dark black eyes, and adorable ears up at 4 weeks old, "Bug," demonstrated the attitude he
carries still. This little man (all 8lbs of him) fears nothing. He is the "King of the World!"

What gorgeous setting for the dog show! Every year the Kennel Club of Palm Springs holds one of the largest dog shows in
the US at the Polo Grounds in Indio, California. On a picture perfect day in January 2003, I photographed the Standards in
the 9-12 Month Puppy Dog Class. CH Rustic Lane Blockbuster (Buster) is showing off his phenomenal reach and drive handled
by Betty Hodges. Buster is third in line.

More Percy! What can we say -- we love us some Percydog! Taken in 2007, this is our magnificent girl at 9 years young!
